Our Story
Turning Loss Into Purpose, and Pain Into Advocacy.
In Loving Memory of Evelynne Aimee
Evelynne Aimee’s life, though far too short, continues to inspire a mission of compassion, advocacy, and support for survivors of abuse.
The Evelynne Aimee Foundation was created in her honor to help provide comfort, dignity, and resources to individuals and families facing the devastating impacts of abuse.
Her story is the reason this work exists.

How the Story Began…
When I was 16 years old, I entered my first serious relationship. At the time, I had never experienced an abusive relationship and did not recognize the warning signs that would slowly appear over time.
Like many abusive relationships, the abuse did not begin immediately. It started gradually, often followed by apologies and promises that things would change. I was young and believed those promises.
Over time, the relationship followed the familiar cycle of abuse — periods of calm followed by violence, apologies, and manipulation. Like many survivors, fear and threats made leaving feel impossible.

Six Years Later…
By 2011, we had been together for six years and had two beautiful children — my son, born in 2008, and my daughter, Evelynne Aimee, born in 2011.
After Evelynne was born, we moved to northern Michigan in what I hoped would be a fresh start for our family. I was working long hours trying to provide for my children and build a better future.
But on August 12, 2011, my life changed forever.
The Day Everything Changed…
That morning began like any other. I went to my externship, kissed my children goodbye, and expected to come home later that evening.
Instead, I received a call telling me I needed to come home immediately.
My daughter Evelynne was only three and a half months old when she became the victim of unimaginable abuse.
She did not survive.
Her father was later arrested, convicted, and sentenced to two natural life sentences for sexually abusing and murdering her.
Why I Started the Evelynne Aimee Foundation
In May of 2013, I founded the Evelynne Aimee Foundation in honor of my daughter.
What began as a way to keep her memory alive has grown into a mission to support survivors of child abuse, sexual abuse, and domestic violence.
Through programs like Lovies for Littles and Survivor Care Kits, we work to provide comfort, dignity, and support to individuals facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances.
Every program we create is rooted in one simple belief:
No survivor should have to face their healing journey alone.

A Message to Survivors
If you are, or have, experienced abuse, please know that what you are going through is not your fault.
You deserve support, safety, and healing.
If you are not ready to share your own story, feel free to share mine. You never know who you might help by reminding them they are not alone.
