Survivor Care Kits Program
Providing Comfort, Dignity, and Support During the Healing Journey
What is the Survivor Care Kit Program?
The Survivor Care Kit Program provides comfort and basic self-care items to individuals healing from domestic abuse and sexual assault.
This program combines two of our previous initiatives — Pamper Packs and Break Away Bags — to better support survivors through partnerships with local domestic violence shelters, crisis centers, and advocacy organizations.
Many survivors arrive at shelters with very few personal belongings. Our Survivor Care Kits are designed to provide essential self-care items that help restore dignity, comfort, and a sense of personal care during an incredibly difficult time.
Each kit is packaged in a donated makeup bag and filled with practical items survivors can use during their healing journey.
Each Care Kit includes:
• Shampoo
• Conditioner
• Body wash
• Lotion
• Deodorant
• Feminine products
• Toothbrush/toothpaste
• Fuzzy socks
• Feminine products
• Hand sanitizer
• Makeup Kit – A donated makeup bag filled with new personal care items such as lip balm, mascara, nail polish, facial masks, small beauty items, and a pocket mirror or brush.
• “I Am A Survivor” bracelet
These kits are designed to provide comfort, dignity, and personal care items many survivors may not have when seeking help. Items are provided based on available donations and the needs of each partner organization.

Why Self-Care Matters in Healing
Recovering from abuse is a deeply personal journey, and healing looks different for everyone. It may take weeks, months, or years — there is no set timeline.
Practicing self-care and being surrounded by supportive resources can help survivors begin rebuilding their confidence, sense of safety, and self-worth.
Our Survivor Care Kits are intended to offer a small but meaningful reminder that survivors are supported, valued, and not alone in their healing journey.
Who Receives Survivor Care Kits?
We distribute Survivor Care Kits through trusted partner organizations that support individuals experiencing crisis or abuse, including:
• Domestic violence shelters
• Sexual assault crisis centers
• Advocacy organizations
• Emergency safe housing programs
• Community support centers
These organizations provide the kits directly to survivors when they arrive for support and services.

Request Care Kits for your Organization!
Organizations that support survivors of domestic abuse or sexual assault may request Survivor Care Kits through our program. To apply, please complete the application with details about your facility, how the kits will be distributed, and the number requested.
Please note: Requests may take several months to process. We will email you once your application has been reviewed with your status.
A Small Gift. A Big Impact.
