About the Event
April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Each year, the Evelynne Aimee Foundation hosts Petals of Remembrance to honor victims and survivors of child and sexual abuse.
During this gathering, members of the community come together to release rose petals into the river as a symbolic act of remembrance, healing, and support.
The event is held each year near April 29th, in honor of Evelynne Aimee’s birthday.
What to Expect:
Petals of Remembrance is designed to bring the community together in a simple and meaningful way.
The event typically includes:

• A cookout with light refreshments
• A moment of remembrance
• A symbolic rose petal release into the river
